Peanut Butter

A success Story about Peanut Butter

john.jpg

This is Peanut Butter. He was found in Belen, New Mexico with a severely injured and infected back paw. He came to us with a collar and current rabies tag from San Antonio, Texas. We called there and got the owners name and telephone number, the telephone number was disconnected and so we took him to the vet to have his paw treated. It was badly infected so he had to go into surgery 4 differant times to drain all the infection in a 3 week time. He also had 2 broken toes. The doctor felt that this type of injury was caused by jumping or being thrown from a moving car. After numerous treatments, and fearful that we would loose the paw completely or he would loose use of it, he began to get better. This treatment came over $650.00 and with some donations for his treatment, the bill went down to $450.00 that we still owe. He also regained the use of his foot, he can run and walk. He was adopted by a minister and his wife from Colorado Springs, Colorado.
