Who We Are and What We Do:
Los Chavez Animal Rescue was formed by me over 5 years ago, when more and more pets were being dumped on the side of the road. Now with the help of my wife, Dana, and other organizations, we have given many animals a second chance to a good home. The pets remains here for as long as it takes to get them a new home. Some have been with us over 2 years now. We were nominated for a local hero award by KOB-TV-4 news, which aired March 2, 2001 at 6:00 PM. We were also on Channel 13 news on September 8, 2001, due to going above and beyond the call of duty in rescuing homeless and helpless animals.

"All About Los Chavez Animal Rescue"
I rescue all types of pets, even from the local animal control organization. They are provided a safe haven until we find them a home, no matter how long it takes. All animals are provided with veterinarian care, in which they are spayed, neutered and vaccinated. Adoption fees are varied, so please contact us for fee information, which pays for the veterinarian care. Rescue service is free, but if your pet has a litter and you want us to place the litter, we do ask for a small donation. Out of State adoption can work, but you will need to make the necessary arrangements, and provide funds for transportation. Please call for more information.

Our pet of the month introduces herself...
Hello, my name is Mariko. I am a solid white (albino) short hair female cat about 10 months old, who was rescued from a attempted drowning in a irrigation ditch. I have been here a long time. My pals and I have been here since we were kittens. We like our temporary digs here, but we want a home and family of our own! Allow me to introduce a few new members of the family. Meet Harper,a female calico mixed and Jet, a solid black siamese mix. There are many more cats you can meet later, along with a turtle and six geese. Our humans are in the process of trying to complete a new cat shelter and redo the old one, but they still need building materials, cat litter, cat food, kitten chow, cat toys, and vaccinations. Can you help? Even a little bit? During the year of 2001, Los Chavez Animal Rescue has made a difference in many animals' lives, who were rescued and placed into better homes. There have been over 250 animals rescued and placed into new homes.
